You can apply body lotion as often as you like.  But usually once a day is sufficient.  When you apply is more important than how often.  

A common mistake is to apply body lotion to dry skin – perhaps even topping it up every few hours.  But this does not give you the best results. 

Apply a coin-sized dollop of lotion on your palm and apply from the bottom up.  Evenly distribute the lotion over your entire body.  

Ideally, you should apply body lotion immediately after bathing or showering (while your skin is still damp) to lock in hydration.  To help keep your skin feeling soft and smooth, reach for a formula suited to your skin type and its unique needs.
